Why do I need to confirm my age?
If you make a purchase from Logicvapes.co.uk from 1st October 2015 onwards, you may notice that we have added an age confirmation step in our checkout process.
This is because a law has been introduced in England and Wales that prohibits from 1st October 2015 the sale of e-cigarettes to under-18's - and we expect to see similar laws introduced in Scotland and Northern Ireland soon. You'll have seen on the Logicvapes website and packaging that this is something we strongly support.
When can I confirm my age?
If you have an account with Logicvapes, you can choose to confirm your age either through the 'My Account' section at any time, or you can wait until the next time you check out.
The good news is that if you have (or create) an account with us, you'll only need to do this once. On any subsequent visits, simply log in, and we'll remember that you've already confirmed your age.
If you prefer to place your orders as a guest, we'll need to confirm your age during the checkout process.
How can I confirm my age?
We can confirm your age either via an external database (where a third party will check your details against a number of sources, including the Electoral Roll) or, alternatively, we can verify your age by checking your driver’s license or passport.
Once you are logged into a logicvapes.co.uk account, you have three options to confirm your age:
If you prefer to use a guest account to place orders on logicvapes.co.uk, you can complete the online form at 'Step 3' of the checkout process each time you place an order. You will need to supply either your full name and address as they appear on the Electoral Roll, or your driver's license or passport details. This will allow us to instantly confirm your age if successful, and should not result in any delay to your order.
How will my details be used?
If you select the database check, using the online form, your name and address will be sent to a third party based in the UK for age confirmation during the checkout process. Your details are not stored by the third party.
Similarly, if you choose to enter your driver’s license or passport details, these will be sent to a third party based in the UK for age confirmation during the checkout process. Your details are not stored by the third party.
